How many guests can Brix Bar accommodate for a function?
The beer garden holds up to 150 guests standing or 60 seated. For smaller, more intimate groups we can arrange a sectioned-off area rather than full hire.
Is there a venue hire fee?
For most packages there is no venue hire fee — we work on a minimum spend arrangement, keeping things straightforward for you. Get in touch and we’ll work out what suits your group size and budget.
Which days are available for functions?
Monday and Wednesday are available for exclusive venue hire. We can also host functions during our regular trading hours on Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday (from 4pm). Sunday hours are opening soon.
Is the space all-weather?
Absolutely. The beer garden features a retractable roof along with ceiling fans, electric heaters, gas heaters, and a wood fire — so it’s perfectly comfortable whether it’s a summer evening or a winter celebration.
Can we bring our own cake or decorations?
Yes — we’re happy for you to bring a celebration cake and personal decorations. Just let us know in advance so we can help set up and make everything look great.
Is there parking nearby?
Yes, there’s ample street parking around Martin Street, and Gardenvale train station is just a short walk away — making it easy for guests coming from across Melbourne.
Can we have live music at our function?
Absolutely — we have a full PA system and sound setup ready to go. Brix Bar regularly hosts live music events, so we know how to make it sound great for your guests too.
